Malcolm's second wife, Margaret Black, may have been
the daughter of Alexander Black (b. 1756 in Scotland, d. 1781 in Moore Co.), and Mary
Patterson (b. 1751 Cumberland Co., NC; d. Oct. 28, 1846, Moore Co., NC), according to a
1908 letter by Rev. R. R. MacMillan. Mary Patterson was the daughter of John
Patterson (b. 1730-32, Argylshire, Scotland; d. Sept. 22, 1812-13, Moore Co., NC) and
Isabel McDuffie (b. abt. 1732 in Scotland.) This data is from an LDS Family Search
